Friday... finally!

So I was thinking last night, while making my 3rd batch of some crazy ground turkey mixture, what are some of my "staple foods?" Naturally I realized it was turkey. Turkey in many forms. I've always enjoyed the way it tastes and it tends to be one of the leaner meats available. Recently I've been making a lot of ground turkey and mixing in different things for variety. Yesterday it was roasted red peppers, green peppers, garlic, olive oil, and some seasoning. I could eat this daily! It was super easy to make and saves for a couple days, which is another reason I'm a huge fan. So, what are some of your staple foods?

  1. first, y'all goin to enjoy the WOD today. its a grip killah.

second, with regards to staple foods, i dont just have one. Yet, i dont think i go one day without avocados, bananas, or almond butter. In terms of meals though, turkey, in all forms has been a staple. it is cheap and lean and delicious. and john, im stealing your recipe.

    yestedays menu:

    breakfast: two bananas, almond butter

    snack: grapes, apple

lunch: 10 oz ground sirloin (95/5), avocado, tomoato, cucumber

    snack: carrot sticks

    later snack: naked protein drink

    dinner: chicken breast

  2. Nice! I suggest a jar of roasted red peppers pre-mixed with garlic and olive oil. Cheaper and you can use it on a couple lbs. Pretty well nothing else in the jar either!

  3. Breakfast - 2 scrambled eggs 1 egg white, 1 yolk
    Sausage, 1/2 Caff coffee black

    Balance Bar (last one)

    Paleo Turkey/Veggie Chili

    Banana

Shrimp, spinach & romaine, tomato, avocado, cucumber, olive oil based dressing

    Plum

I like the write up on Turkey, John. I heart Turkey.

My Manager at work brought in bagels for everyone today - but brought me a special fruit cup. I thought that was a really nice gesture since she knows I am really trying to stick to Paleo.
