What's Your Inspiration Wednesday?!!?!!

So last night out of nowhere I had the most HORRENDOUS craving for all things bad. I don't understand where it came from. Here I am, about to reach my four-week mark, and all I wanted to do was go and punish some White Castles, Harold's, Lou Malnati's, orange chicken....I mean anything greasy would have sufficed last night. Luckily I was able to resist the urge....but it was a close one! The devil was on me! lol.

While I sat there and struggled with not going on a fast-food binge I really thought about why I am doing this. I wondered why it was so important to me. Why wasn't I eating a juicy cheeseburger or some chicken wings with mild sauce? Unfortunately, if you are expecting a deep and thoughtful answer I must disappoint you. I am doing this because I am vain. I wouldn't say I am vain as hell, but I'm close. I like to feel nice AND look nice.

The health rewards of the Paleo lifestyle are super-appealing, don't get me wrong homies. I have seen some of my back issues improve due to my core and overall body getting stronger....I have also seen my stomach issues improve vastly....I sleep better HOWEVER, I must admit I love watching another pound drop off of my scale and being able to get these child-bearing (without the actual child) hips into single digit jeans. I'm just being honest! LOL. Sorry if I killed your impression of me! lololol.

So my fellow C-fitters, what is your inspiration? Are you a little shallow like me and enjoy getting fine-er by the day or do you have a deeper reason for embarking upon this lifestyle? Kelsey shared her amazing story with us a few days ago....let's continue to get to know a little bit about each other:) Have a Happy Hump Day!!!

  1. Whew girl, the DEVIL was on you huh! LMAO!!!

I'm in it for both. Great grandma, grandma and mom all had/have diabetes. Don't want to get it and I was borderline as a vegan. Since doing paleo, no more pre-diabetic.

Also, I want to get the 35 pounds off that I gained transitioning from a vegan diet to a meat eating one. None of last years clothes fit, and I have fat in places I never thought possible.

For me, it's the Fit and the Fine! LOL!

Love the post and your honesty. :)

  2. LOL! Thanks Wendy! The devil WAS on me! lol. I had to tell him "I rebuke thee satan!" lol. I better stop playing...my granny would back slap me if she heard me. lol.

Wow, diabetes really does run in your family. That's scary, but the buck stops here for you:) You are doing what you need to lessen your chances of getting that terrible disease.

What seems to run in my family a lot is strokes, high blood pressure, and I hate to speak it, but cancer. Treating our bodies right will hopefully reverse these family curses and turn us into sexy wilderbeasts:)

I like your saying "Fit AND Fine":) I need to get it on a T-shirt.

Btw...at the rate that you are going I am more than confident that you will drop the 35lbs:) Keep up the awesome work and know that I and others are rooting for your victory!

  3. AMEN!! I rebuke him too. LOL! I'm seriously laughing my head off at my desk.

Isn't it amazing how something as simple as diet and stress can lead to so many health issues in our families?

"Sexy Wilderbeasts" Dear lord!! You are seriously clowing now. Love it!

Thanks for all the encouragement. It's much appreciated. Imma do my best! It's a battle, but much easier when the stuggle is shared. So glad this blog exists.

You can do it too, and you are! Single digits here you come!

  4. I freakin' LOVE the write-up Yatta! Feeling good and looking good go hand-in-hand for me. I generally don't feel good if I don't look good and it is hard to look good if I don't feel good. Does that make any sense?
